CHULA VISTA, CA
The Gaylord Pacific Resort Hotel and Convention Center will be a new destination resort located on prime bayfront property in Chula Vista, CA. This resort will host 1,600 rooms, multiple restaurants, an unforgettable sports bar, resort style pool, and an array of recreational facilities.
With almost 2 million square feet of enclosed space on 22 stories and breathtaking ocean views, this project will anchor the future development of Chula Vista’s bayfront. The state-of-the-art convention center boasts an enormous open-floor exhibit hall space with meeting rooms, elevated ballrooms, and support areas to host large scale events.
This project has been years in the making and Mortenson | McCarthy Joint Venture is excited to partner with RIDA Development and HKS Architecture to bring this facility to the City of Chula Vista and Port of San Diego.
At this time most First Tier Trade Partner scopes of work have been bid and awarded.
However, there are still opportunities to participate in this exciting project. Please for a list of all First Tier Trade Partners and their scopes of work.

CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS
Construction is now on-going for this exciting project.
The Gaylord Pacific Hotel and Convention Center is expected to open to the public in Summer of 2025. To the left, is the latest aerial drone footage taken of the construction progress.
